In the South there are several Swing states. I deicded to focus though on North Carolina and Florida considering i love vacationing to those states :). All the southern states are pretty much safe bets for McCain minus Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia . As of now West Virgina and Virginia are easing toward the safe territory for Obama and McCain. While such states such as Georgia is likely to break form McCain due to teen African American voters. Leaving the decision pretty much up to NC and FL. In previous years, FL has been A swing state, while NC has only gone Democratic for 50 years. Both of these states are in comon for the fact that they are heavily changing which has given the Democrats a boost. Because of Obamas major efforts in North Carolina, it has given him an oppurtunity.
I believe that North Carolina will swing towards Obama due to his effort hes put forth in that state, and i think that FL will go the same route as North Carolina, considering they both are in the same boat. I would have to say at this point, Obamas got it all.

North Carolina and Florida are also two of my favorite places!! I don't know all the statistical blahblah information and I agree that North Carolina will probably choose Obama, but I don't think Florida will go the same route. Even though it's important for McCain to absolutely win Florida, I hope he doesn't =]]
It is very true that African Americans will play a huge role in this election and should play a deciding factor in the swing states. I think Obama will win most of them.
