election post #6

Hmm as much as I really dont like either candidates, and I really would prefer McCain to win, I really do believe the winner of the Presidential election is going to be Obama. I think that Obama is going to win with around 300, meaning a pretty big win with the electoral college, and votes wise. From what i read recently online, a weird prediction said, obama wins electoral votes but not popular votes, that would be really interesting. The reason i think Obama will win though proving that prediction wrong, is because i feel all the young people that are americas future are going to vote for him and the older people will vote McCain. Leaving it at that, more young and middle aged people make up our population leaving it to be Obama as the winner. I feel like that would def mess up our government, considering dems are all for nation wide health care and big government, i think that dumb. I think his idea of "change" isnt good, and is going to screw us up. Why the hell would anyone want a huge government instaead of small governments that know your area and state better then anyone, it just doesnt make sense. Anyways sorry i went off topic, but The winner of the Senate race i believe is going to be Mark Warner, hasnt he already won pretty much? I dont know anyone not voting for him, its almost as if Jim Gilmore doesnt exist. For the 11th house race, all else being equal, the 11th District has been trending Democratic for years. Tom Davis won there and held onto his seat because he was a moderate Republican with a political history in Fairfax County. I def think Tom Davis is going to pull this one out. And for the 10th i beleive that Judy Feder is going to win. I believe this becuase i think the state of Virgina is true Republicans, and is going to swing toward the Republican candidates during the local election, yet presidential wise its going to surprisingly swing democratic.

I agree with you about the senate winner, Mark Warner. Because he is already in office he has a huge lead. He has been doing a good job so far, so I don't see why anyone would feel it neccessary to replace him.

I totally agree with what you said about Obama, he scares me. We basically had all the same predictions except for the 10th district House. And what you said about Mark Warner is totally true, I feel like he is leading by about 102931203 points in all the polls..i guess are calls for Jim Gilmore didn't change much hahah

I wouldnt be so doubtful about McCain winning, i think he still has a good chance. Have you ever heard of the Bradley effect? Its where people say theyre going to vote for a black person but when they actually get in the voting booth they cant do it and will vote for John.
